Student accounts will be deleted after the drop/add period the fall or spring semester following separation from UNCW. Separation is defined as graduation, transfer, leave of absence, etc. Students, even if they have graduated, are not able keep their uncw.edu e-mail account.

The UNCW Alumni Association and the Information Technology Systems Division (ITSD) are working with Microsoft's live@edu to give recent graduates "Alumni for Life" e-mail accounts. These are new accounts that will need to be set up, so please keep an eye on your UNCW e-mail for a message from the Alumni office with "register for your Alumni E-mail Account" in the subject line. Just follow the UNCW Alumni E-mail link in the message you receive to activate your new account.

Currently this "Alumni for Life" e-mail is not available for those who graduated before May 2008, but the Alumni Association is looking into all options to make this happen.
