Setting up WEP on MAC OS X:

1.  Click on the wireless connection icon in the upper right‐hand corner of the Finder.

2.  In the menu that appears, ensure that AirPort is turned on and select “Other.”

3.  In the window that appears, enter uncwwep in the ʺNetwork Nameʺ field. Open the dropdown menu next to “Wireless Security” and select “WEP 40/128”bit

ASCII.”  Then, enter the password chawk in the “Password” field. You may choose to mark the checkbox for “Show password” if you wish. Then click the “OK” button.

4. You are now successfully connected to UNCW’s wireless network and are protected with WEP encryption. You may now open Internet Explorer and register your PC on the network. For information detailing this process, please refer to this document’s section entitled “Network Registration.”
