L.J. Randolph teaches courses in Spanish language in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and foreign language teaching methods in the Watson College of Education. He is also the coordinator of the Foreign Language Teacher Education Program and supervises student interns working towards their North Carolina K-12 Teaching Licensure in French or Spanish. Before joining UNCW, Dr. Randolph worked as a high school Spanish and ESOL (English to speakers of other languages) teacher in North Carolina's public schools for nine years. His current research interests include Spanish for native speakers and heritage learners, culture and politics in foreign language education, diversity and multiculturalism, and curriculum development.
