About Us

UNCW's Office of University Relations works to enhance the university’s image and position in the higher education marketplace by providing creative and research services to manage the university’s marketing, communications, public relations, media relations, community relations and advertising strategies.

Services We Provide

We work with divisions and departments across campus to develop, research, write, edit, photograph, design, promote and analyze UNCW publications, news releases, websites, advertisement and marketing plans.

The University Relations team is comprised of an experienced, professional staff that manages hundreds of marketing and communications projects each year for the university. MaC's team-based approach helps to maximize the effectiveness of each project in reaching the target market.

Our Mission

The Office of University Relations communicates the goals, objectives, and priorities of the University of North Carolina Wilmington to its various external and internal constituencies through a team of professionals in public relations, creative services, and strategic communications. The office promotes information about the university's people (faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends), research, scholarship, activities, and community outreach. The office also provides public relations strategy and speech writing support to key university administrators.
