RJM 013B: Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus)
A large, adult male bottlenose dolphin stranded in Surf City, NC on September 22, 2011. Necropsy findings included the presence of a stingray spine in the right lung, adhesion of the right lung to the ribcage, and parasitic worms in the bronchi.
