This small, male bottlenose dolphin live stranded in Norfolk, VA early in the morning on November 27, 2005. The animal was thin, had numerous lesions and its respiration appeared labored and irregular. Because of the dolphin's very poor condition, the decision was made to euthanize and it was transported to UNCW for necropsy. Internal examination revealed collapsed lungs and active lymph nodes.
