From the Director
Welcome to the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program’s website.
I am proud to share that our MPA program was recently reaccredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration. This stamp of excellence recognizes the many strengths of our program. Our students are high quality, reflecting a variety of backgrounds, experiences and interests. We now have more than 200 alumni, many of whom work in significant positions in government and nonprofit agencies in our region. Our faculty are national experts in their respective areas of research and all have experience working in a variety of professional settings.
We also have the support of an active and engaged Community Advisory Board consisting of a wide range of community leaders, and many professional networking opportunities for students and alumni through vibrant Graduate Student and Alumni Associations, local ASPA and ICMA chapters, and a brand new Pi Alpha Alpha honor society. We also have a strong focus on regional engagement, with many opportunities for internships, fellowships, and applied research projects addressing problems facing our community.
A local county manager and MPA Alumnus of the Year recently stated, “the UNCW MPA program changed my life!”
Please enjoy your virtual visit of our program. If you have questions about our MPA program or Graduate School admission requirements or procedures, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com.
