Larry D. Cook has served as organist and choirmaster at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wilmington since 1998 and conducts the Southeastern Oratorio Society. After graduating from Hastings College (Nebraska), he received a Rotary Grant for study in Germany where he studied organ with Helmut Walcha and harpsichord with Maria Jäger. He has taught choral music, organ, and conducting at Baldwin-Wallace College (Ohio), the University of Alberta, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Northwestern University, and DePaul University. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed working with civic and community choral organizations: at Baldwin-Wallace College he conducted the famed Bach Festival Choir; in Edmonton, the Richard Eaton Singers; and while teaching at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Durham Civic Choral Society.
