GOALS of the COURSE: to rehearse and perform works from the string orchestra repertoire, with the emphasis on Western European classical music but also including a smaller selection from a variety of other styles including jazz, musical theater, etc.

Grading: grade is based on class participation as shown through attendance

Scale- Absences from regular rehearsals

0 - 2 = A
3 - 4 = B
5 - 6 = C
7 - 8 = D
9+ = F

Absence from a dress rehearsal or concert will result in lowering of one full letter grade. You must attend the entire rehearsal to be counted present.
