Attendance: attendance records are not kept; however, you are responsible for all of the material covered in class and must turn in assignments on time regardless of class attendance Text: (already purchased for 111/112/211) Kostka-Payne: Tonal Harmony Grading: (approximate) 70% on projects, 30% on quizzes and final examination. All projects are due on date assigned at the beginning of class (late papers will be accepted up to the next class meeting and reduced one full letter grade; beyond that, late papers are not accepted). Tests or quizzes involving played examples cannot be made up except in cases of extreme personal emergency. Examination: Final examination is Wednesday, April 29, 11:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. GOALS OF THE COURSE To use the skills acquired in the previous three semesters for practical analysis and creative projects (see descriptions below). There will also be an introduction to 20th-century techniques. SCHEDULE
