Dr. Cherie J. Hennig, began her career as an IRS Revenue Agent in Denver, CO. She has taught undergraduate and graduate tax courses at Florida International University, Colorado State University, the University of South Florida, and Virginia Tech. She has published articles in leading tax journals, has co-authored two tax texts and has written and taught numerous continuing professional education courses. She is a member of the American Taxation Association and the American Institute of CPAs. Her current research interests are Schedule M-3 compliance, book/tax differences, and tax issues relating to FAS 109, 141, 142 and FIN 48. She co-authored with John Everett and William Raabe the text, Practical Guide to Schedule M-3 Compliance published by CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business. She has taught numerous CPE courses for the Executive Enterprise Institute and other professional organizations on Schedule M-3 Compliance. She also co-authored with John Everett and Nancy Nichols the text, Contemporary Tax Practice: Research, Planning and Strategy published by CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business.
Dr. Hennig received the American Taxation Association, 2007 Outstanding Service Award. She currently serves on the Tax Executive Committee of the AICPA and on the Editorial Board of the ATA Journal of Legal Tax Research.
