Marine Quest

MarineQuest is the official marine science outreach program for the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the Center for Marine Science providing young people with opportunities to explore, discover and value our marine habitats. Whether you experience MarineQuest as a summer camper exploring the ocean or as a student on a school field trip discovering the marsh, the outcome is the same:MarineQuest is more than just another day at the beach; MarineQuest is making waves in environmental education!  More

Junior Seahawk Academy 

The Junior Seahawk Academy creates a platform for students from underrepresented and economically deprived groups to develop an interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers as well as develop a positive community connection with students and families in southeastern North Carolina. Center for Education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics  

The Center for Education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (CESTEM) focuses on improving the quality of pre-college science and mathematics education in the schools of North Carolina through programs designed for in-service and pre-service teachers, as well as students. More

Education Lab  

The Betty Stike Educational Laboratory at the University of North Carolina Wilmington connects UNCW students in undergraduate and special education programs with parents and families who want high-quality, affordable tutoring opportunities for their children.  More

Isaac Bear Early College  

The High School opened in the fall of 2006 as a partnership between the North Carolina New Schools Project, New Hanover County Schools and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. As an early college high school, students participate in an accelerated high school education program.  In the first two years of the program, students complete their required high school courses to prepare them to take courses at the university. In the final two years of the program, students take courses at UNCW with the support of the staff at Isaac Bear Early College High School. Successful students graduate from this program with a high school diploma and up to 60 college credits.  More
