A. UNC Comprehensive Level I Institutions

B. Peer List Identified by UNC Office of the President

C. Aspirant List Developed During 2000-02 SACS Self-Study

D. US News and World Report Top Master's Universities in the South

E. Other

Institutions were excluded from the above four categories if either:
a) their total enrollment was less than 5000 or greater than 20000, or
b) their total operating revenues were less than $75 million or greater than $300 million; except that all UNC Comprehensive Level I institutions and the following universities are included: Western Washington University, University of Richmond, Elon University, Rollins College, and Samford University.
