QEP Timeline

Beyond Spring 2013

We will continually refine our QEP implementation/delivery strategies and our perpetual commitment to student learning.

Spring 2013

SACS on-site review (March 2013) for re-accreditation; the QEP continues to influence student learning, becoming an integral part of the UNCW experience over time.

Fall 2012

Finalize QEP document; deliver QEP to SACS. Campus prepares for on-site review and continues to evaluate and tweak QEP’s effectiveness.

Summer 2012

Preliminary implementation begins to test plan. QEP proposal drafted for submission. First annual Applied Learning Summer Institute at UNCW.

Spring 2012

Pilot projects assessed and evaluated. Task force designs QEP implementation approach and shares it broadly with the campus community for feedback and endorsement.

Fall 2011

Task Force designs QEP implementation pilot plan and the assessment plan is tested.

Summer 2011

Spring work continues--pilot implementation plan chosen from those officially submitted.

Spring 2011

Topics researched; campus input continues. Topic Selection finalized in May. Learning Outcomes - what we want our students to gain from the QEP - are firmly established. Pilot implementation plans solicited from across campus.

Fall 2010

QEP kick-off. Task force gathers campus input through topic development forums and begins to narrow the list of possible topics.
