IN-P --->   3.0 HOURS

Major requirements will have the computer competency requirement, the oral communication competency requirement and some upper level requirements 'linked' to the major requirements so that they will only count towards the major hours one time. When a requirement is linked, the text that the hours or courses have been 'taken' will appear beside the completed requirement. If the text states 'added', those are the courses counting up to the total major hours needed.

In this example, #1 the computer competency requirement is a linked requirement with #4 the film studies core. FST 201 only counts one time toward the total major hours, but completes both the computer competency and core requirement.

The >R indicator identifies a course that is repeatable. For example FST 367 may be repeated several times under different subtitles and is not treated as a repeated course under the University's repeat policy.

All courses not applicable to any specific requirements will appear in the 'General Electives' section of the degree audit. These courses do count toward total hours for graduation.

Note for that there is an 'IR', invalid repeat, indicator listed for ARH 201. Transfer credit has been entered twice on this audit, in error. Since a 'C' grade or better was earned in both courses, the audit does not allow the hours to count on the course that has the 'IR' designation. If an 'IR' appears on an audit, contact the Registrar's Office for resolution.
