Policy Research

 

Dr. Mark Imerial, Political Science Department, has been actively researching water-related issues to aid in the collaboration of government and watershed management programs.

 

Dr. Christopher Dumas, Economics and Finance, is currently researching the economics of environmental Natural Resources as well as commerical fisheries.

 

Dr. Michael Mallin, Biology and Marine Biology, is currently researching the causes and effects of eutrophication, the impacts of urban pollution, land use and how it affects water quality, and environmental management issues. He collaborates with biologists, chemists, engineers and land use planners.

 

Dr. Peter W Schuhmann, Economics and Finance, has stuied the public's willingness to pay for amenities and congestion effects on demand at Wrightsville Beach, NC using an Application of the Random Utility Model.
