Overview - DVT

DVT is a powerful utility for manipulating and displaying water quality data in a dynamic interactive method. The tool facilitates the exploration and examination of data on up to 13 water quality parameters that have been collected along two river systems in Southeast North Carolina: The Cape Fear River and the Northeast Cape Fear River. Data from both rivers has been gathered from multiple sampling sites--11 on the Cape Fear River and 4 on the Northeast Cape Fear River--over the course of several years.

This tool allows researchers to visualize the data by graphing data on up to four water quality parameters simultaneously using three different display techniques:

(1) color graphing

(2) line graphs

(3) animated sequencing of graphs
