- University Police
The UNCW Police Department will respond to calls for assistance, document incidents, conduct investigations and assist individuals with accessing other services. For incidents beyond the law enforcement jurisdiction of the UNCW Police Department, the department will assist individuals in contacting appropriate law enforcement agencies and accessing other services. The UNCW Police Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days week. Located on the corner of L Street and Walton Drive.

The Counseling Center provides individual, relationship and group counseling for concerns related to life choices and other personal concerns. Counseling services are available by appointment or, for crisis situations, on a walk-in basis. After-hours crisis consultation is available for students from an on-call counselor by calling the University Police dispatch service at 962-2222.
In addition, personal development workshops are provided to allow students to gain or to enhance skills in managing their life circumstances. A wide variety of concerns are discussed in counseling. Students are encouraged to utilize the programs and services of the Counseling Center to assist them in maximizing their UNCW experience.
The Counseling Center is located in Westside Hall in room 2079 on the second floor.

- CARE: Collaboration for Assault Response and Education
The UNCW Collaboration for Assault Response and Education is the campus initiative dedicated to intervening on violent behaviors, including sexual assault, relationship abuse or violence, stalking and harassment. We respond to students who have been victimized by providing confidential, supportive services, inlcuding crisis response, individual advocacy and coordination with both on-campus and community resources. CARE also provices consultation for students, faculty, staff and parents who are concerned with someone close who is experiencing abuse or assault. We collaborate with UNCW and community resources to train, program, and campaign for the maintenance and continuing development of a campus environment characterized by support and respect.
The CARE office is located on the second floor of Westside Hall.

- Office of the Dean of Students
The Office of the Dean of Students provides a variety of programs, involvement opportunities and services. Primarily, the office addresses student needs, concerns and conduct and is a primary resource for all commuter and residential students, faculty and staff. As a resource and referral office, staff is available to provide university policy and procedure clarification, confidential consultations and personal as well as family crisis assistance.

- Student Health
Health services include the diagnosis and treatment of general and acute medical problems and referral to specialists and specialized services as needed.

- Housing & Residence Life
The Housing and Residence Life staff maintain an environment that is conducive to educational excellence by providing academic support, educational opportunities, and challenges for individual residents. Residential staff is available to residence hall students who may have any needs or concerns, and students are encouraged to seek the assistance of their individual Resident Coordinator and/or Resident Assistant.
The Housing & Residence Life Office is located behind Schwartz Residence Hall at the corner of Walton and Suite Services Road.
