NC DPI Standard Course of Study Science Essential Standards
Draft 3.0 of the NC Standard Course of Study Science Essential Standards is posted on the ACRE website at http://www.ncpublicschools.org/acre/standards/ . These updated drafts of the Essential Standards are based on continued refinement since the posting of 2.0 as well as an initial response to the 1.0 feedback. Draft 3.0 is not final as refinement is still in process. DPI asks to receive your feedback by November 27, 2009, in order to represent responses to the State Board of Education in the December discussion. However, feedback will be left open through the end of the year, and all responses will be read prior to the standards going for action at the January Board meeting. Please you use the feedback form and send your input to feedback@dpi.state.nc.us.

Smithsonian Institution's Online Conference on Climate Change
The Smithsonian is addressing the global challenge of climate change with special exhibitions and ongoing research.
