Eleanor works with all of our counties to support teachers of mathematics in grades 6-12. Her primary roles are supporting lead teachers in those districts, delivering professional development through summer courses and school-year workshops, and developing the materials used in professional development. Her work with public schools and teacher training in the Hawaii Algebra and Geometry Projects support her role with NC-PIMS.

Eleanor is a former public high school teacher with 11 years experience in education. She recently completed her masters degree, with a desire to work more directly to support classroom teachers. She enjoys sports and is an avid Hokie fan. She relocated to the beach from the Raleigh area as a result of her job with NC-PIMS. Eleanor is a native of Blacksburg, Virginia where most of her family still resides. She is a happy "mother" to her Boston terrier, Scarlett.

Lynn provides administrative support to the NC-PIMS program facilitators and participants. Her experience in adult training and professional development is an asset to the NC-PIMS program, and her experience in web site development is an asset to the Science and Mathematics Education Center.

Lynn is a former corporate human resources development specialist, former U.S. Naval officer, public relations specialist, wedding and event planner, and web designer. She is an avid mystery reader, Red Hat Society member, and community volunteer. She is married to Max Allen, Special Assistant to the Chancellor, UNCW, and is the mother of three children, ages 30, 19 and 14. She is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, and has lived in Wilmington since July, 2003.
