The Science and Mathematics Education Center proudly sponsors the Southeast Regional Science Fair at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
The planning meeting for the 2009 Southeast Regional Science Fair will be held Friday, October 3, 11 am - 2 pm. Change this Year: this meeting is required of all public and private school districts that want their students to participate in the 2009 Southeast Regional Science Fair. Please contact the Center, 910.962.3168 for registration and meeting specifics.
The 2008 Fair was held Saturday, February 16, 2008. Click here for a list of the 2008 winners' names and their school names. Participants from counties in southeastern North Carolina will compete for the opportunity to advance to the State Science Fair on March 15, 2008 at Meredith College in Raleigh.

Region II, which the UNCW Science and Mathematics Education Center hosts, consists of Brunswick, Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, New Hanover, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender, Sampson, and Wayne counties, Camp Lejeune and Clinton City.
