Purpose Explains university policies and procedures concerning university advertisements. Scope Applies to all university departments and activities.

This policy governs all university advertisements through various public media including, but not limited to, newspapers, periodicals, billboards and radio.

Policy
     

    The UNCW Visual Identity Program and Publications Guide, which was approved by the UNCW Cabinet in September 2002, is the official source for information concerning university advertisements. The guide may be accessed on the World Wide Web at

    Policies and procedures governing university advertisements are summarized below.


     
      University Advertising Standards.
    In order that the university may present a consistent, uniform and professional image, all university advertisements must conform to university standards published in the UNCW Visual Identity Program and Publications Guide.
     


    Advance Approval Requirement.

The assistant to the chancellor for university relations (or designee) must approve in advance the following university advertisements:

        a.   Employment advertisements for EPA and SPA vacancies.
        b.   Legal advertisements for construction projects or other contractual service bids.
