 Arts Education > Curricular Connections

Curricular Connections is an effort to link academic courses with UNCW Presents arts and cultural programming. We believe the arts have the power to teach us more about ourselves, but only if we pursue them.  The purpose of this publication is to make meaningful arts connections through university courses, lectures and performances.  We hope to offer faculty ways in which to supplement their classroom discussions, and use the arts to convey their course themes.

Tickets. Faculty, staff and students receive free tickets to Leadership Lectures and discounts to Arts in Action performances. Visit or call Kenan Box Office at 962.3500. Campus members may also visit the Fisher Student Center Box Office.

Bibliographies.  Randall Library provides suggested reading and listening lists of library resources for UNCW Presents events. All Leadership Lectures are recorded and available for classroom use and review, as are most Arts in Action Performances. Materials are archived at Randall Library as well as in the UNCW Presents office. For more information, check out our Resource Library.

Above & Beyond.  These are programs and services that extend beyond the presentation of a performance or lecture to give students the opportunity to have a more direct, informal experience with artists and guest speakers. Events range from master classes and workshops to interviews and panel discussions and are free and open to the public.  For more information, check out Above & Beyond.

Class Tickets. Block tickets can be arranged for UNCW students to attend performances and lectures.  A significant discount is offered to students for performances and lectures are free.  Once you, the faculty member, have decided the events you will have your students attend, call Shannon Hooker at ext. 7600 to make arrangements.  Please make reservations at least two weeks in advance of the event to ensure ticket availability!

Seating is reserved for all performances and lectures, with the exception of the ChocQuibTown performance on 9/21..
