Lumina Theater is UNCW's new source for blockbusters, independent, art house, international, and classic cinema. The theater screens a variety of films from new releases and cult classics to art and international film to travelogues and independent cinema throughout the academic year, five days a week, except during University holidays and breaks. Location and Tickets
Lumina Theater is located in the new Fisher Student Center on the campus of UNCW. Parking is available in Lots A, E & F. Click here for a campus map. Tickets can be purchased at the FSC Box Office one hour before the show. New releases are $2 for UNCW students and $4 for all others. Most movies are free and all are open to the public. Ticket prices for special events vary.
General Information
Lumina Theater is programmed by a coalition of academic and campus departments and student organizations dedicated to showcasing films which would otherwise not reach the Wilmington community. If students or faculty wish to participate on this programming committee, please contact UNCW Presents at 962.7971.
Lumina Theater is a 360-seat theater with Dolby Digital surround sound capable of 35mm and DVD projection. If your student organization or department is interested in hosting a film program, contact Union Reservations at 962.7098 for more information about reserving Lumina Theater. Currently Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays are available for programming during the fall semester.
