This paddle along the Cape Fear River will amaze you! Locals call this old dredge spoils area Shark’s Tooth Island, and as the name implies, it’s easy to find tons of shark’s teeth here! Join us for an exciting paddle and an expedition to find a treasure to take home!

Kayak Black River
Get away and experience an amazing ecosystem that is completely different from the coast, yet only one hour away. Paddle through the enchanting black water cypress swamp. The serene and mystical nature of the Black River will forever remind you that some things of immense beauty are still here and have not changed for hundreds of years. Great for beginners!

Hammocks Beach Paddle/Camp
Paddle touring kayaks approximately two miles through the salt marsh to Bear Island and be rewarded with one of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches on the Atlantic. Hammock’s Beach is just the place for those who enjoy the challenges of sun, sand, sea, and sky.

Beginning of Summer Backpacking Trip
Some 500 million years ago, the Uwharrie Mountains emerged from the soils of North Carolina's central piedmont, making them the oldest mountain range in North America. While the dinosaurs that once roamed the area are long since extinct, the Uwharrie National Forest boasts more archaeological sites per acre than any other forest in the southeast.
