Who are commuter students?

If you are a student who lives off-campus and not in a residence hall, then you are commuter student!

Approximately 78% of UNCW's total student enrollment (and 73.3% of undergrads) are commuters who walk, drive, bicycle, take the UNCW shuttle bus, or use some other form of transportation to travel to campus. The Office of the Dean of Students has designated The Seahawk Perch, UNCW's Center for Commuter & Non-Traditional Student Services, as a point of contact for you. A professional staff member with the Seahawk Perch is your designated liaison within the University.
