If you are a UNCW student who is currently living in a residence hall, or if you are brand new to UNCW, there is a lot to consider in selecting a place to live off-campus. The Seahawk Perch is dedicated to providing our students, faculty and staff the information they need to find convenient, safe and affordable off-campus housing.

 Can you place me in an off-campus apartment or rental?

The university does not own any housing facilities off-campus, so we can't "place" students in an off-campus residence. And, because of liability issues, we cannot specifically recommend one property over another. However, we can make your search a lot easier by providing the resources you need to make an informed decision!

  Transportation Resources

 UNCW students have access to a FREE shuttle bus system within a 1-mile radius of the university. They can also ride Wilmington’s WAVE transit system for FREE with their student ID card. For more information about bus transportation, visit: http://www.uncw.edu/ba/parking_trans/shuttle.htm.

When searching for off-campus apartments, make sure to ask if the location is “within the
one-mile radius” of the university, and if it is near a UNCW shuttle stop.
