As the primary advocate for our UNCW student body, the
Office of the Dean of Students is often called upon during situations of
crisis and emergency. The range of crisis situations may include, but are
not limited to, issues of death; serious illness; victim of harassment,
assault or other violent and serious crime; or a loss of a significant
relationship. Once notified, the staff will respond to the needs of the
victim through personal contact, and assist the individual with deciding
the best options available at that moment. In addition, the staff member
will engage other professional staff throughout the university community
who can help provide support, information and resolution. |
