Women's Health Seminar, 12:30 - 1:30, Westside Hall - Student Health Center To sign up for a seminar, call Student Health, 962-3280. The class is free of charge and lasts around 60 minutes. This seminar provides participants with an accurate perspective and understanding of women's sexual health. Participants develop an increased knowledge and understanding of a female physical exam (pap smear), their contraceptive choices, essential sexually transmitted infections/diseases information, and how to take responsibility for one's own sexual health. Students learn and process ideas and information through the interactive seminar, group discussion, and active participation via questions and answers. |

Guy'd for Life: Men's Health Series, 6-7 pm @ Westside Hall Conference Room, 1st floor. TONIGHT'S TOPIC: Tobacco. “Guy’d for Life” is a series of seminars geared toward males interested in learning about various health topics. Topics include nutrition, stress management, physical fitness, STD’s, effects of alcohol and drugs on the body, testicular cancer, and body image awareness. Those interested can simply show up and all seminars are free of charge!

CARE Movie: A Christmas Tragedy (documentary), 7:30 pm @ the Lumina Theatre An independent documentary about the historic Lawson Family Massacre on Christmas Day, 1929 in Stokes County, North Carolina. The murder by a prominent tobacco farmer of his wife and 6 of his 7 children, as well as his own suicide, became the stuff of folktales and a ballad. This film offers a new look at what really happened in this story of domestic violence.

CARE Movie: Hitch & Dating Doctor, 9:00 pm at the Lumina Theatre CARE will join with ACE and other campus offices to host Dave Coleman known nationwide as "The Dating Doctor" and "America's Real-Life Hitch!" He delivers research-based relationship advice in a dynamic, interactive form. Following his presentation, the movie Hitch, with the main character based on Dave Coleman, will be shown at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. |
