Medical records are maintained on all students seeking health care at the SHC. Information in the medical record is confidential and access is restricted to authorized UNCW SHC personnel. Your medical records will not be released to anyone unless you provide written consent or when required by public health law or by court order. We will not release medical records to parents, professors, university administration, or others, except in a life-threatening situation or, in some situations, if you are a minor. Please notify your SHC provider if your parent plans to call and you would like your provider to discuss your medical care with them.
