Quick LinksFind Galloway Hall on the map
Galloway Hall, housing 400 people, was UNCW's first residence facility and, as a result, changed the face of campus culture. Students became an integral part of their campus, and a strong sense of school allegiance quickly developed. Galloway Hall features six floors of co-educational resident living, with males and females in separate wings on each floor. All rooms come equipped with bunkable beds, student desks, desk chairs, open closets, dressers, ethernet, cable TV and a dedicated phone line with voice mail. Students in each wing share community bath facilities. Amenities of Galloway Hall include: free laundry machines on each floor, security cameras in the front entrance, perimiters, and stairwells, vending and ice machines in the main lobby, programming space for community building, multiple flat screen televisions in the main lobby, and recycling bins. Located on the 2nd and 5th floors are common room lounges with televisions, which are commonly used for programs. Galloway residents utilize a small parking lot located behind Galloway Hall, but are also permitted to use the parking lots located next Belk Hall and Graham-Hewlett Hall.
Galloway has a 24-hour front desk with a desk receptionist who provides coverage from 8 a.m. to midnight, and security guards between midnight and 8 a.m.
