International House, along with Cornerstone Hall and Honors House, is a part of a dynamic community referred to as Tri-House. Built in 1998, International House is a co-educational building that houses 100 students, in groups of 25 per single-sex wing. The environment is shared by American and International students who celebrate cultural diversity. International House staff works closely with the Office of International Programs to provide a number of intercultural programs and experiences for residents. Some of these programs include cooking international holiday dinners and hosting the International Student Organization meetings in the building. All UNCW students who fulfill the eligibility requirements are welcome to complete an application to live in this unique environment. Amenities of International House include: free laundry machines on each floor, security cameras in the front entrance, perimiters, and stairwells, vending and ice machines in the main lobby, programming space for community building, multiple flat screen televisions in the main lobby, and recycling bins.
