The Office of Housing and Residence Life is located in its own one-story building located between the University Suites and Schwartz Hall.  The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, during the fall and spring semesters.  Summer hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday.  If you have any questions, please stop by the office, call (910) 962-3241, log onto our Web site at www.uncw.edu/housing/ or e-mail us at housing@uncw.edu.

CHECK-IN

During check-in, you will fill out a key card and be issued a room key and a Room Condition Report (RCR) form which you will need to complete thoroughly indicating the current condition of the room.  This form is what determines if damage charges are to be billed to you when you check out of your room.  The staff will be available to welcome you to your new home and assist you with any questions you might have.

Failure to complete a RCR will result in a blank form being placed in your room file.  You may be held responsible for any damages not noted on the RCR.

CHECK-OUT

There is only one option available to residents who are checking out of their room: Check-Out by appointment with a RA.  To Check-Out of your room by appointment, schedule a time with your RA or another RA in your building/area.  You and your RA will record any changes to your room on the RCR.  You will be asked to turn in your room key.
