The Center for Leadership Education and Service (CLES) coordinates a number of episodic (one-time) and ongoing community service programs in the local Wilmington community.
We can also connect you with local non-profit organizations for a variety of volunteer opportunities. Whether you are interested in volunteering for just a few hours or for an ongoing period of time, we can help connect you with something that interests you.
BABYSITTER NEEDED
UNCW non-trad student who is a single mom is in need of evening babysitting in order to take needed courses. If you or someone you know can help out, contact Cathy Olsen, Dept of Biology and Marine Biology, 910-962-3487
SECU STUDENT BOARD MEMBERS NEEDED
Stuart Hudson, VP for the State Employees Credit Union, is interested in getting some students to help serve on the State Employees Credit Union Advisory Board. The Board meets once a quarter for dinner and a meeting to discuss services of the credit union and the different services that the members would like to see the Credit Union start. It is a great opportunity for a student to network with different employers on the board and a great chance to present a student’s perspective of what they would like to see the Credit Union offer to their members.
You have to be a member of the Credit Union to serve on the board. If you would be interested in serving on the board, please contact Frances Carr , carrf@uncw.edu or call 910-962-3755
