These informal discussions, usually the length of a class period, welcome the artist or distinguished speaker into the classroom where the students have been studying their work during the school term. The students gain insight to the artist's or speaker's area of expertise through a prepared interview process.

Hot 8 Brass band
Free screening of Spike Lee's documentary When the Levee's Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts featuring the Hot 8 Brass Band. The film is screened in two parts, 7-9 pm in Lumina Theater. The first episode is Monday, February 23, 2009 and the second episode is Monday, March 2, 2009. Panel disucssion to follow each screening.
