SBTV, founded 1999, provides students with hands-on experience in writing, videography and video production, script writing, broadcast journalism, digital-video editing and on-camera hosting and reporting. Current productions of "Seahawk Central," a half-hour campus-news and entertainment magazine, are aired Thursdays at 9 p.m. during the academic year on UNCW-TV (TimeWarner Cable channel 5 in Wilmington). No previous experience is necessary.
SBTV can be a valuable asset for students enrolled in UNCW's interdisciplinary Journalism Minor.
