Online Registration System Questions

 

Is there a waiting list for events that are full?

No, there is no waiting list for events once they are sold out.

Can I receive a refund if I make a mistake or one of my attendees decides not to come?

No.  NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ONCE YOUR REGISTRATION HAS BEEN PROCESSED. 

 

What is the registration reference number?

The registration reference corresponds to your registration.  If you need your registration reference number, contact the Office of Transition Programs.

 

I want to mail in my registration form.  Can I request to have spaces held for me until receive the registration form?

No. Spaces are filled for events on a first come, first serve basis.  If you mail a form, there is a possibility that events will become full before our office receives your registration form. 

If you receive a registration with the incorrect amount of payment, will you process the form immediately and accept payment later?

No.  We will not process any forms without the correct payment.  Make sure you send the correct check or money order with your registration form. 

What if I register for Family & Alumni Weekend, but cannot attend?  Can someone else go in my place?

We do not issue refunds once your registration has been processed.  However, if you would like someone to attend in your place, we will provide you with a corrected nametag upon checking in.

General Questions

Who is invited to UNCW's Family & Alumni Weekend?

Parents, alumni, guardians, grandparents, siblings and family friends are all members of the Seahawk Family and are invited to UNCW's campus for a weekend of food, fun, and friendship.

Can younger siblings attend Family & Alumni weekend?

Yes! We welcome family members of all ages to join us in the festivities.  On Friday and Saturday night, children ages 1-10 can participate in the Kid Zone. The Kid Zone program is provided by the Watson School of Education Teaching Fellows.

Do I have to attend all of the events?

No, we have designed Family & Alumni Weekend around letting you pick and choose which events appeal to you and your family.  However, we encourage you to take advantage of our programming to experience UNCW and the Wilmington area.

Where can I park on campus?

On Friday, October 16, parking will be available in the meters on Riegel Road with “event parking” teal hoods over meters and in the parking lot adjacent to the Greene Track.  After 5 p.m. parking will be available on Riegel Road and in Lot M for evening events. 

On Saturday, October 17, all parking lots will be open use. To avoid a parking citation, do not park in handicapped spaces without the proper decal, fire lanes, service vehicle, 24-hour faculty/staff, or on grass at anytime Additionally, UNCW offers free visitor parking in parking lot F (located just off Wagoner Drive between Alderman Hall and Westside Hall). Can I purchase tickets on-site?

You may only purchase tickets on-site for events that do not require pre-registration and for events that are not sold out. Please be aware that some events may fill up the day of the event and there may not be tickets available for purchase.

Can I request a refund if I cannot make it to an event or if there is bad weather?

No.  We do not give refunds for any of the events once we have processed your registration form.  All events are scheduled to take place rain or shine, unless noted otherwise.

I am a UNCW Alumnus.  How do I get more information about Class Reunions?

When will I receive tickets for Family and Alumni Weekend events?

You will receive your Family and Alumni weekend packet at check-in on October 16 or October 17.  Your packet will have nametags for all attendees, tickets for registered events, a schedule for the weekend, and more. Check-in times and locations are below. 

Friday, October 16

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. – Fisher Student Center, 1st floor near the Information Desk
5:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. – Burney Center

Saturday, October 17

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. – Fisher Student Center, 1st floor near the Information Desk
