Mentoring Opportunity

The Career Center would like to offer you a unique mentoring opportunity. The Minority Mentor Program’s goal is to connect students of diverse populations to employers in their field of interest. This program gives students at UNCW the opportunity to learn more about their chosen profession and to develop meaningful relationships with professionals in their field. It is our hope to match students with professionals that will most benefit the student’s own career path.

You and your mentor will be asked to meet for a total of 20 hours over the course of the fall and spring semesters with at least two of the meetings to be held on site at the Mentor’s workplace. Benefits to you include gaining professional skills, understanding corporate culture, and networking with professionals in your field.

If you are a junior or senior and are interested in participating in this program, please fill out the Mentee Application so that we will be able to adequately match you to a Mentor. Return it to Sarah Clark at clarks@uncw.edu, by campus mail at Box 5924, or at the Career Center by Friday, September 19th.
