Outreach:

  • October 20thAll Shifts Are FULL!!!Oktoberfest, will be, at Independence Mall.  We need volunteers to participate in games and crafts such as face painting. It will be a great time for the kids and remember the 2 events requirement.  Here's your chance to help raise money for Habitat for Humanity. There will be two shifts and we need ten people at each. The shifts are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 1:45-6 p.m.

                 * Give a few hours to make a big difference!Contact Caroline Medford as soon as possible at cmm1673@uncw.edu with any    questions and to sign up for the event.

        November 3rd
      : Annual IOC Yard Sale. 
      Please be at Trask Parking lot by 8:00am and have your tables prepared by 8:30am, as the event will open to the public at 9:00am until 1:00pm.  Our rain date has been set for the following day, Sunday November 4th.  Same time and location.  If it raining that day also, we will cancel the event.Pizza and Drinks will be provided to organization members for lunch.

     Please bring all yard sale items to the Teaching Fellows on November 1st.

    Everyone who brings in donated items will have their names placed in a drawing for the chance win a $50.00 gift card to the Bone Fish Restaurant.

November 3rd:

1.  8:00-10:00 (5 People)

    Follow the Yellow Brick Road: Challenging Diverse Learners With Wendy Miller

    An interactive session using an “OZ” analogy to discuss students with diverse learning needs.  It provides innovative strategies, practical tips, and humorous classroom experiences.

             Tentative Schedule: Leaving on 20th at 2:00pm. Please meet in Lot FF.  Return around 4:30 am.
