Another year…we certainly have accomplished a great deal as a program, as a team, and as individuals.  I am amazed as I look over the list of activities Fellows engaged in over the year.  Once again we provided over 1000 hours of volunteer work in the schools as tutors and Pen Pals.  We made it through some very hard times with the loss of one of our wonderful freshmen and changes in office staff.  But like great teachers do, we made adjustments, found creative ways to plan and budget and ended the year on a high note, full of joy for our new graduates and with exciting ideas for next year’s committees.

We end the year with thoughts of new beginnings and a request for Fellows to recommit to making our program even greater.  In the meantime, we wish you all a wonderful and safe summer, full of adventures to “reflect” on once again when you return in August.

Thank you for making my life so much fun!!

Hello all,

Well we have reached the end of another school year! The Teaching Fellows here at UNCW are continuing to make strides in our attempts to further the effectiveness of our program. Relay For Life proved to be a great success, and I commend all of you who participated in this bridge event with the city of Wilmington. We fielded a team of 25 members and raised over $400 in our fight against cancer. New class representatives have been installed and committee chairships have changed hands as we are already preparing for the fall and the arrival of the class of 2011. It is my hope that as we end this semester we continue to build relationships within our "Fellows family." I have enjoyed working with the fine ladies in the Teaching Fellows office. KB, Sarah, and Amy  do so much for our program and they can never be thanked enough!!!! I count it a privilege to work with all three of them. Enjoy your summer and I will see everyone in August!!!!!

Ashley Griffin
Those twinkling eyes, that light-
hearted laugh, that little grin...
But what we miss most is having you in class, at lunch, in your room.
You are still in our hearts, and there we'll keep you until the dreams we shared one day come true.
