Parent & Family Orientation

There is a separate program for adult family members that runs concurrently with the new student Orientation sessions in January, May, June and August. During the Parent and Family Orientation Program, there are information sessions designed especially for family members, as well as sessions that families may attend with their students. However, because of space limitations and other concerns, several of the student sessions such as academic advising and registration must be attended by students only.

All Reservations are made under the student's name and student ID number by following the instructions listed on our How to Register page. Family reservations are made at the same time as the student. After the initial reservation has been submitted, if you would like to add another person to the reservation, you must submit your request in writing along with your payment per additional person. This payment must be paid by check or money order and can be sent to the mailing address to the left of the screen.

Spanish Translation Services

Students and families desiring a Spanish translation of the Orientation materials can download the New Student Orientation guide on the UNCW Guide App and click on the Español tab. Translations have been provided for Family sessions.
