Internships and Work-Study positions

One of the primary missions of UNCW Media Production is to provide a learning platform where students can train in the fields of broadcasting and communication. The CHWK, a faculty and staff-managed, student-operated channel, reaches an audience of nearly 14,000 people. While TLN, UNCW's public broadcast reaches an audience of approximately 130,000. This makes UNCW Media Production unique in that no other large scale, local outlet provides an opportunity where a student can make decisions about air time, scheduling, content generation, news gathering, management and broadcasting.

Internships and Work Study opportunities exist within the UNCW Department of Media Production. Please contact for more information. Additional media-related opportunities exist with other UNCW Television contributors, including Housing and Residence Life, Student Media, Communication Studies, and New Hanover Country Schools.
