Art for the Masses Announcement, Thursday, March 22, 2012
Starting this year, the University of North Carolina Wilmington will provide a new, permanent home on its campus for Art for the Masses (AFTM), the premier show for local artists to showcase their work directly to area art lovers. Chancellor Gary Miller announced at a March 22, 2012 press conference that the first on-campus Art for the Masses event will take place Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Burney and Warwick centers. The show will feature all-original fine art prices at $250 or less, with student art also available for purchase. AFTM is free and open to the public, with a requested $3 door donation to help fund public arts projects at the university. More information on AFTM is available at Art for the Masses.
