University College and Advising

University College contributes to UNCW's commitment to excellence in undergraduate education by building relationships and creating experiences to support student transitionspersistence, and success through academic advising, courses, programs, and resources.

University College serves all first-year students, including specialized support for distinct populations: early college, first-generation, pre-professional, spring admits, select military and transfer students, and students in transition.

Through its advisors and academic support programs, University College works with students in their formative semesters to assist them in developing their interests, skills, and talents to the fullest extent. Click here for more information regarding academic advising at University College.
