Host Events/Making Introductions Action Team

Purpose:  To have BOV members introduce UNCW leaders to individuals and corporations in their local as a way to strengthen government relations, increase development opportunities and market the university.  This may be through invitations to special events and smaller group or individual meetings.  Members of the board plan and host events targeted to specific groups or individuals with whom UNCW wishes to build or strengthen relationships. 

Board of Visitors Giving/and Merit Scholarship Action Team

Purpose:  To encourage board members to give to the university for any purpose and also to specifically encourage giving to the Board of Visitors Merit Scholarship Fund.  Overall goals are to increase to 100% the number of board members who give on an annual basis to 100% and to reach the minimum endowment value of the BOV scholarship.   

Marketing and Image Building Action Team

Purpose:  To support university activities related to marketing and image building in any way possible.  Working with the university’s Marketing and Communications Director, this Action Team will explore ways to effectively market the university to the stakeholders and influencers that will be critical to its future growth.
