The Campus - Parking

A VISITOR is any person on the campus of the university who is neither a student nor a faculty/staff member.

Free visitor parking is available in the visitor lot (Lot F) near Alderman Hall (see map in PDF format). Additional designated visitor parking is available throughout campus.

Metered visitor parking spaces are located in "D Lot" between Deloach and Bear Hall near Randall Library for $.25 per half hour. (The equipment does not allow pre-feeding of the meter.) Additional metered parking spaces are available throughout campus.

You are asked to park in spaces designated for visitors or in white lined spaces. Yellow spaces are faculty and staff. However, after 4 p.m., all lots are open to students and visitors with passes and you may park in either white or yellow spaces.

Free Visitor Parking Permits

When you arrive at the UNCW campus, you will need to obtain a free visitor parking permit or use a parking meter. Visitor parking permits are free of charge and may be obtained in advance.

To obtain a free visitor parking permit:

Directions to the preferred parking area will be provided by the customer service representative at the Parking Office, Visitor Information Booth, or University Police.

Parking Citations

In the event that you do receive a  parking ticket, turn your citation over and follow the directions for visitors. Sign the citation, return it to address indicated and your ticket will be dismissed.
