Leave Keeping Update

Holiday Time Off and Leave Reporting

Due to holiday time off, the December leave keeping report can get a little tricky!  Below are some tips for completing your December timesheet.

Timesheet Period: 12/11 - 12/24 2017
Submission Date: 12/20/2017

You should be able to submit your leave report before our winter break starts on December 22, 2017.  If you are taking time off prior to your last work day, please submit your leave report before you leave, and notify your Supervisor via email so that they may approve it prior to their departure for winter break.

December 22 will be listed as a PAID HOLIDAY. See example below for this timesheet if you take no additional time off and work regular work hours.

Facilities Updates

Before You Leave for Winter Break

With the end of 2017 quickly approaching, we ask that all CHHS faculty and staff help us prep for our time away from the building. Remember these tips when you leave for winter break to keep your office space energy efficient, safe and healthy.

  • Ensure all food or consumables are removed from desk and offices (check trash, desk drawers, etc.).
  • Make sure you take out your trash and recycling even if there are no consumables. This will help avoid unwanted visitors.
  • Make a visit to common spaces, such as lounges, to pick up personal items (including food, drink, other items).
  • Shut off and unplug small appliances, like coffeepots and microwaves in your area.
  • Take a moment to turn off and/or unplug all energy consuming devices that are not required in your office, labs, and common areas.
  • Secure doors, drawers, cabinets in your area appropriately. Remember to take your key and ID card with you.

CHHS Resource Page and Expenditure Forms

Resource Page
The CHHS Resource Page will go live beginning with the spring 2018 semester! This page has been designed to provide up-to-date resources to all members of the CHHS. Resource categories included on this page are:

  • Presenting in the CHHS
  • Budget Management and Resource Planning
  • Purchasing
  • Grants and Contracts
  • Research and Innovation
  • Human Resources
  • Hiring Resources
  • Travel Resources
  • Scheduling and Facilities Management

Within these categories, updated material will be accessible to help you facilitate the request of any service managed by the CHHS shared services teams. The CHHS Resource Page will serve as a central housing location for all resource/expenditure forms and information. We kindly ask that once live, you reference this page for all forms, such as purchasing, travel, event management, etc. to ensure you are always referencing the most up-to-date information.

We will be sending a separate communication to all members of the CHHS in early January, 2018, once the web page is live.

Expenditure Forms

Technological issues prevented the BCST from launching the new selection of expenditure forms that were discussed during this past spring during the fall semester. These issues have now been resolved, allowing for the implementation of the CHHS Expenditure Forms in January, 2018. These forms will allow all expenditures to be recorded within the appropriate allocations, and adhere to the CHHS Financial Approvals Policy adopted during Fiscal Year of 2017.

Additional information and training will be available in December, 2017 and January, 2018. Please watch for emailed communications regarding these changes and training opportunities.
