Move-In 2026

UNCW is welcoming nearly 6,000 new and returning students ahead of the fall 2026 semester. In order to account for campus growth and infrastructure changes, a new Move-In experience for on-campus Seahawks is being implemented. The new model is a more decentralized, self-guided process.
Students will arrive for the fall semester Wednesday, Aug. 12 through Sunday, Aug. 16, based on assigned appointments by residential area. All students are expected to arrive on campus on their designated check-in day at their designated time. Residents will check in at a designated unloading zone to unload their vehicles. Unloading zones will be located mainly in residential parking lots and reused throughout the day. As such, residential parking lots will not be available and will remain vacant during move-in week.
All members of the UNCW community should expect heavier traffic on campus during Move-In and plan accordingly.
