Dear Seahawks,
As I've spent time around campus recently, I've noticed Seahawks making the most of opportunities inside and outside the classroom. I've also seen how quickly schedules can fill up as midterms approach, and you begin balancing academics, campus involvement, friendships and everything else that comes with college life.
At this point in the semester, you may begin to wonder:
How do I establish a rhythm that works for me?
Balance looks different for everyone, and there isn't a one-size-fits-all formula. The habits you choose to practice consistently can help create a stronger foundation for your wellbeing and success.
Make a Splash
While your responsibilities continue to grow, I encourage you to choose one healthy habit you'll commit to over the next few weeks. Whether it's prioritizing sleep, planning your week in advance or spending a few minutes each day recharging, consistency matters more than perfection. To get started explore the BetterYou app, a free tool that can help you set goals, build healthy routines and stay accountable.
Resource Spotlight: Career Center
When your schedule is full, it can be tempting to focus only on what's directly in front of you. Creating a sustainable rhythm also means setting aside time to invest in your future.
If you attended last week's Career and Internship Fair, know that it’s just the start. The Career Center provides support to help students prepare for what's next. That means exploring career pathways, preparing for an internship or job search, applying to graduate school and more.
Be Resilient and Flourish
This month's Healthy Hawks focus is Emotional Wellbeing. Remember that resilience is built over time. Exploring your interests, setting goals and preparing for future opportunities can help you build confidence, adapt to challenges and navigate uncertainty.
