Make Your Voice Heard

One Stop Early Voting

Early Voting occurs from October 20th through November 5th, 2016. Early Voting is your most convenient, one stop shop for all things voting. You can register on-site and cast your ballot (including a provisional absentee ballot). New Hanover County will host five Early Voting sites around the county. The nearest location to campus is:

New Hanover County Board of Elections Office
230 Government Center Drive, Suite 38
Wilmington, NC 28403
Phone: (910) 798-7295

What do I need to bring to Early Vote?

Remember, a photo ID is no longer required to vote. However, if your registration could not be verified prior to your visit, or you missed the deadline and want to participate in same-day registration, you will need to show an official ID or government document with your name and address. A full list of acceptable documents are listed here. Best practice is to bring these items with you, if possible. For on-campus UNCW students, the local Election officials have been given a list of on-campus residents. All you need to show proof of address is your ONE Card.

Sample Ballots

Did you know there are 15 different ballots in New Hanover County? These ballots are distinct due to congressional districts. To best prepare to vote, download your personal sample ballot - provided to you at this link - and fill it out before you arrive to your polling place.
